The Union of Vietnamese Student Associations of Southern California (UVSA) Tet Festival is back for the Year of the Dog! The 37th Annual Vietnamese Lunar New Year celebration will be held from February 16-18, 2018 at the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa, CA. This year's theme is "Spring of Prosperity."
The UVSA Tt Festival (Hi Tt Sinh Viên) of Southern California is recognized as the world's largest Tt Festival outside of Vietnam. It is run entirely by volunteers consisting of high school and college students, young professionals, and parents. Our goals are to help preserve and share the Vietnamese culture, and to serve our community by allocating net profits from the festival to the community through our Tet Community Assistance Fund (uvsa.org/grants). Over the past 15 years, UVSA has awarded over $1.4 million dollars to community organizations.
The Tt Festival attracts over 60,000 audiences and offers hundreds of booths in a span of a 3-day weekend event. Visitors are immersed within a vibrant array of traditional foods, live entertainment, festive games, and customs celebrating the Vietnamese Lunar New Year.
